About Us

Home of Happy Herds

Clanfin Native Breeds started with our very first farm in 2017 and a handful of Herdwick Sheep. Our farm is now in the heart of Ayrshire at Hillhouse Farm near Galston, East Ayrshire, Scotland, and has grown into a passion for Native Breeds including Herdwick Sheep, Pedigree Belted Galloway Cattle and KuneKune and Berkshire pigs.

A Sustainable Future With Native Breeds

Our animals are predominantly grass fed from grass, hay and haylage produced right here on the farm. We know that food grown on healthy land with healthy farming produces tasty food. We are proud to nurture the food that feeds your families. Whether it's succulent Belted Galloway Beef, tender lean Herdwick Lamb and Mutton or mouth watering Pork, the feedback is the same - having a Happy Healthy Herd has a huge impact in the quality and taste of the meat we produce. Not forgetting the Fruit and Vegetables grown in our Polytunnels and on the land which have no waste with every bit being used as produce to sell, feed for the animals, especially the pigs, or to go back into the soil once composted down.

Our Produce

We offer a range of produce from beef, hogget and pork sold blast frozen for freshness. We have a range of fruit and vegetables which we grow here on the farm or source locally throughout the year, to our very own one off unique handmade sheep wool rugs. We sell pasture raised eggs and have our own honey from our beehives. We can arrange pick up or delivery of your orders and are more than happy to show you round so you can see the farm.

Facebook is where we update most of our information and updates on the farm and will be the best source of up to date information or simply give us a call or send a message.
